Materials You Will Need:
plastic bucket, ruler, marker
What To Do:

On the next rainy day, make a rain gauge with your child. Locate a plastic bucket and ruler. Put the bucket in your backyard and wait for the next rainy day. Measure how much water fell with your ruler and mark the spot with a marker on the bucket. Put the bucket back outdoors to observe the different levels of rain on the gauge.
