I Can Smell

Target Age:
Early Two-Year Old
Materials You Will Need:
slice of orange, banana, lemon, apple, banana, lemon, containers
What To Do:

Children learns using their sense of smell. This activity will help your child differentiate smells. Have your child smell each slice of fruit. Put a slice of each fruit in a jar covered by foil, (with holes). See if your child can identify each fruit slice by its scent. Ask your child to name each fruit.

Variations:

Have pictures of each fruit available. Have your child point to each one your child guesses.

Enjoy a snack of fruit together afterwards!
