Zoo Time

Target Age:
Middle Two-Year Old
Materials You Will Need:
photos, album
What To Do:
It's usually more meaningful if you plan your trip to the zoo. "Today we are going to find birds that have feathers on their bodies." Take pictures of the birds. It helps to have your child focus on something specific. It is easier to recall.
Variations:
Make a book about the birds you saw. Place the photo on the left and name of bird on the right page of the book. Getting into the habit of viewing books from left to right prepares your child for reading.
